    After a fantastic week at the Great Yorkshire Show we would like to thank everyone who came to speak to us.  Please keep your enquiries coming and we shall get back to you with any requests.

     

    The Great Yorkshire Show was held in Harrogate from Tuesday 13 to Thursday 15 July 2010 over 125,000 visitors enjoyed this celebration of agriculture and country life.

    Successful time at the Border Union Show Friday/Sat 30th and 31st July  

    Wind Turbine enjoyed a successful two days at the Border Union Show with a great deal of interest in the products we have to offer, mainly from the farming community, following the introduction of the Feed In Tariff in April this year.

     

    On show at the stand were two, actual size, turbine hub's - the evoco 10kw and the evance 5kw machines. Both machines attracted a great deal of interest with the show attendees and gave massive focus on the products available.

     

    Simon Maden, Managing Director, said " The interest shown in turbines at the Kelso show was very gratifying especially as most of the enquiries came from local farmers and businesses. This is our second year at the show and the interest generated was much better than last year which can be put down to a number of factors with the main one's being everyones increased knowledge of what is on offer in terms of the product and the financial incentives being offered to wind enegy generators in regards to the FIT's. Also, the evance 5kw and the evoco 10kw which were on show, both sit comfortably within the limitations laid down by the MOD for the seismic monitoring area in the Borders area which limits the size of turbine generators can install"

FREE DESKTOP STUDY

Maden Design and Build Ltd will provide at no cost to the client a free desk top study to establish the viability of a wind turbine at a particular location. This study will be performed from the office over the telephone and will include:

  • A postcode search of the wind speed database.
  • An in depth telephone conversation on the subject with the enquiring person.
  • An inspection through Google earth of the location.
  • We will clarify for you the line available, either 3 phase or single phase at site.
  • We will present to you our findings and offer a choice of turbine to suit your site based on the information gathered.
  • We would include an informal meeting to discuss your proposal but this would not be a site assessment unless you were agreeable to the costs associated with this as there is a time element to preparing the report after the site assessment.

 

SITE VISIT ASSESMENT

If the client should wish to proceed we offer a site assessment, at a charge of £350 within a 60 mile radius which would normally last 2-3 hrs. (If an order for installing the turbine is placed following this assessment the £350 will be reimbursed by a credit on your final invoice.)The site visit would cover:

  • Further advice on turbine selection.
  • Site inspection and establishment of site conditions to enable accurate costs to be built up.
  • Choice of site for your turbine to be ascertained from discussion and visual assessment of land.

Any sites outwith a 60 mile radius we would offer individual cost to reflect travel time and costs associated with a visit.
